Taste of Faith

One may not have time to learn in-depth about other faith traditions, so "A Taste of Faith" invites you to sample the practices of several faith traditions while tasting foods related to these religions. Come hear about special days in each tradition and sample tasty treats from these religions.
2012 & 2013 Taste of Faith at McKendree University
In response to President Obama's challenge to colleges to increase interfaith understanding, McKendree University created the course "Interfaith Explorations" IN 2012. Students designed and implemented interfaith projects, with a Taste of Faith event held on campus in the spring OF 2012. In 2013 the campus sponsored another taste of faith, with over 120 students, faculty, and staff stopping by the table set up outside for a taste of faith. 2011 Taste of Faith On November 13, 2011, the Metro-East Interfaith Partnership met at St. Luke Catholic Church in Belleville for our second "A Taste of Faith" as we explored foods and special days in Judaism, Hinduism, and Islam. |
